Rituals in our western world include celebrating Christmas, but also children going to school at a certain age.
What rituals and practices can look like for Experimentation Culture:
- Schedule a weekly or bi-weekly ‘Experiment meeting’ where you get the people together working on tests and make sure everything goes according to plan.
- Schedule monthly or quarterly "Experiment Review" meetings to discuss learnings and improve process.
- Introduce a "Test Kickoff" ritual where teams present their hypothesis and expected outcomes before launching a test.
- Celebrate a "Learning of the Month" to highlight the best insight from testing.
- Incorporate some practices or discussions into existing and common meetings, so it doesn’t feel like Experimentation is added ‘on top’. Especially in larger organizations where people’s calendars are flooded with meetings.
